BC Hydro
Environmental Best Management Practices |

BC Hydro is responsible for generating, transmitting,
and distributing electrical power to customers in British
Columbia. Using the existing HydroWeb intranet design, we
created an intranet site of Environmental Best Management
Practices, which provide staff with comprehensive, standardized
instructions for working with materials such as batteries
and insulating oil. |

Worker’s Compensation Board
Managers’ Guide to the WCB |

The Managers’ Guide to the WCB is a
self-paced online course that's being used to orient new
managers at the Worker’s Compensation Board of BC. We
designed the entire Web site, and researched and wrote over
100 pages of content describing WCB operations and managerial
duties, quizzes, and an evaluation survey. |

DIAND Guide to Mineral Exploration
and Development in the Northwest Territories |

The Guide to Mineral Exploration and Development
in the Northwest Territories contains essential information
on legislated requirements associated with the mining industry.
We designed the look-and-feel of this site, and populated
it with over 1,000 pages of information. |

Ministry of Energy and Mines
Mineral Titles Online |
 |
|
Mineral Claims Online is an introduction
and planning document for the BC Ministry of Energy and Mines’ new
Internet-based map selection system. The document explains
in detail how miners will acquire mining rights by selecting
a claim on an electronic map, instead of staking a claim
on the ground. We researched, wrote, and produced the paper
document, including its graphic design, and developed the
Web site using the new provincial standards. |

The Ministry of Human Resources within the
BC provincial government provides employment and assistance
programs and services to people in BC. We facilitated workshops
on the design of an eLearning site for training Ministry
staff on new legislation and policies, and worked with graphic
designers and programmers to develop the intranet site. |

Personal Administration Office |

The Personnel Administration Office (PAO)
is responsible for human resources within the Alberta provincial
government. We designed the colourful look-and-feel of this
heavily used Web site, as well as the architecture and navigational
features required to provide access to the 700 or more documents
found on the site. |
