Reader Feedback Form

Show readers that you are interested in their comments by providing a feedback form at the back of the manual. It can be composed of questions on issues that you want feedback on, or left open to the reader. While you won’t get many returned to you, this kind of feedback can be valuable in situations where you have little or no ongoing contact with the readers of your publication. Keep the forms and other correspondence from readers in a separate file, and pull it out the next time you revise the manual.

In an online manual, the form can be set up to be submitted electronically. Or, simply include an email button and let users contact you directly. See the Feedback link at the top of this page.
