About the Author: Duncan Kent

Duncan Kent

Duncan has been a professional technical writer and documentation consultant for more than 20 years. He holds a Master of Arts from the University of British Columbia and is a Certified Management Consultant. Duncan is a founding member and past-president of the Canada West Coast chapter of the Society for Technical Communication and teaches manual writing at Simon Fraser University.

His firm, Duncan Kent & Associates Ltd., provides manual writing, consulting, and training services to both the public and private sectors. Over the past decade, Duncan and members of his firm have helped develop more than 150 policy and procedure, computer end-user, and training manuals. Over the past several years, the firm has become a leading provider of Web publishing and related services in Western Canada.
