Chapter 3
Introduction

As well as text modules, manuals typically contain the following standard sections.

• title page
• CIP information
• table of contents
• list of figures
• index
• introduction
• glossary
• appendices
• reader feedback form

Except for the title page, CIP page and reader feedback form, these standard sections are formatted as manual modules and have their own issue dates. They can be left un-numbered, or they can be numbered as though they were modules of chapter zero (e.g., 0.1, 0.2, and so forth).
